2025 PLANS

Three Levels of Membership

Silver  -  Gold  - Platinum

Silver $540.00/yr

Designated appliances covered by this agreement:

 

  1. Primary HVAC unit*
  2. Water Heater*


*Primary HVAC units are eligible for replacement.

*Coverage for the water heater excludes tankless and hybrid water heaters. 


*Optional coverage for the Senior Care Program at an additional cost. 


1.  Any cost above the specified maximum limit must be paid directly to the KPW Service Contractor by the member. (See pricing sheet.)

Gold $650.00/yr

 Designated appliances covered by this agreement:  

  

  1. Primary HVAC unit*
  2. Water heater*
  3. Primary kitchen refrigerator
  4. Range
  5. Washer/dryer
  6. Dishwasher

*Coverage for water heater includes replacement.

*Coverage for the water heater excludes tankless and hybrid water heaters.

Platinum $770.00/yr

  

The Platinum Plan expands on the services of the Gold plan to include:

  1. Interior faucet repairs. (If a replacement faucet is necessary, KPW will pay labor costs to install the replacement. Member will bear the cost of the replacement faucet. KPW will pay for the replacement of supply lines if needed.)
  2. Washer hot and cold water supply valve repairs and replacement of exposed supply lines if needed.
  3. Toilet repairs. (If a toilet must be replaced, KPW will pay labor costs only, and members will pay for the toilet.)
  4. Minor plumbing stoppage that can be cleared by a hand auger. 
  5. Minor repair to all (exposed) drain and supply piping that is not in the floors, walls, attics, ceilings or underground. 


* Optional coverage for the Senior Care Program at an additional cost. 


* Discounted work benefits are not scheduled by KPW, nor billed by KPW – they are between the member and vendor only.

Senior Care Home Maintenance Assistance $250.00/yr optional, additional coverage to one of the plans above

  

This plan can be added to any of the plans listed above and will require an inspection.

KPW service fees do not apply to the Senior Care Plan. 


Senior Care Includes:

  1. HVAC filters will be supplied and replaced every (3) three months.
  2. Replace (1) one kitchen refrigerator water filter per year.(Member must supply OEM filter)
  3. Replace batteries for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. (Member must supply batteries)
  4. Replace batteries for thermostats. (Member must supply batteries)
  5. Light Bulb changing during quarterly visit. (Member must supply light bulbs)


~ KPW and the KPW Service Contractor are not responsible for any damages that may occur while providing services under the Senior Care Plan.

~ The member absolves KPW and the KPW Service Contractor of all liability for injury to person or persons or for loss or damage to property.

~ The plan does not cover any electrical work, electrical permits, or electrical malfunctions.

~ Members must contact KPW to schedule these services which will be provided during normal business hours only.


All Plans have the following EXCLUSIONS:


EXCLUSIONS OF COVERAGE 

The member agrees to the following exclusions: 


HVAC

  1. Portable or window air conditioning units.
  2. Filters.  (Senior Care Plan members are exempted from this exclusion.)
  3. Return grills, UV lights, ductwork, or zone systems.
  4. Humidistats are not covered under the agreement
  5. Condensate pump.
  6. TECO Thermostats.
  7. Thermostat wires.
  8. Thermostats outside of thermostats supplied by KPW contractor.
  9. Copper linesets.

Refrigerator

  1. Sealed system failures/compressor failures in the primary refrigerator.
  2. Wine coolers or mini-refrigerators.
  3. KPW does not cover secondary "garage refridgeraors" or stand alone freezers.

Appliances

  1. Countertop microwaves or any other countertop appliance.
  2. Racks, shelves, bins, wheels, lint screens, knobs, light bulbs, or mounting supports for any appliance.
  3. Special accessories in any appliance such as Bluetooth, wi-fi, cameras, coffee makers, etc. 
  4. Appliance software updates, upgrades, resets, or reboots.
  5. Soap, fabric softener, or bleach dispensers in any appliance or sink.
  6. Dryer vent hoses
  7. Pending class action lawsuits, class action lawsuits and manufacturing recall repairs.

Range

  1. Burner rings, pans, or grates. Burners are covered.
  2. Glass tops on flat surface stoves. 

Plumbing

  1. Water softeners, RO systems, or any plumbing for those items. Whole house filters, under sink filters, or any add-on filters.
  2. Re-pipes or partial re-pipes, supply mains, drains, or water supply in the ground, floor, or walls. Outside drain cleanouts in floors, walls, ceilings or attics.
  3. Bidets, toilet seats, toilet lids, or toilet tank lids.
  4. KPW will not repair or replace any sink, tub, shower enclosure, tub/shower drains, tub/shower pans, or fixtures. Shower/tub operating handles, valves, shower heads (including handheld) walk-in tubs, specialty tubs, and specialty shower assemblies are completely excluded from any coverage.
  5. Supply lines are included only on the Platinum Plan.

Maintenance

  1.  Preventive maintenance or cosmetic repairs.
  2. Cleaning of HVAC unit, appliances, vents, or ductwork.
  3. Any gas line repair. Any gas line maintenance check. (Contact TECO for gas issues)

Other

  1. Contractor, builder, manufacturer defects, or any covered item subject to a class action lawsuit or recall.
  2. Any structural material or structural changes required by the county or state code enforcement.
  3. Repairs or replacement of any materials that are removed to perform covered services.
  4. Electrical work or electrical permits required by the county.
  5. Any solar-powered equipment.
  6. Any repairs needed from remodeling.

Replaced equipment warranties / New Appliances

  1. KPW Service is alwasys secondary to a new appliance warranty.
  2. Members with new appliances must claim against the new appliance warranty first. KPW is not a party to manufacturer warranty disputes.
  3. Members should advise KPW of new appliance purchases with date of purchase and serial number so that your records may be updated. If your present appliance is deemed condemned (unable to repair) no additional services will be performed on that appliance until KPW is provided proof of a replacement appliance.  NOTE: KPW does not cover replacement with used appliances.

Chronically unreliable appliances

  1. If an appliance is deemed chronically unreliable and has multiple repairs for the same item during the last year, KPW may deem the product unreliable and deem the product unrepairable adn remove the product from the contract until it is replaced at the sole discretion of KPW. This may include products under recall (until repaired) or products under class action lawsuits for unreliability. 


PLEASE NOTE:

Service Calls that are made by the Member will have a Service Fee.

Service Fees:

Silver and Gold:   $40 during office hours 8:00am to 5:00pm

$60.00 after hours:  5pm to 8pm, and

Weekends:  8am-8pm and Holidays 


Platinum: $25 for all service calls.
